A place of many talents

Welcome! We are a living, growing network of more than a thousand churches, chaplaincies and schools across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Milton Keynes. This page lists each of the fantastic job opportunities currently available. You can also filter jobs by location using the menu to the right of this page.

About us

With more than 2.4 million people living here (a number that’s set to rise by at least half a million over the next decade), we are organised into four areas and a modern open-plan administrative centre based in Kidlington, Oxford.

  • We employ over 100 staff who work to support more than 800 churches and 283 church schools.
  • 51,900 people worship regularly at our churches and 58,000 children attend church schools in this diocese.
  • We are the second-largest diocese in the Church of England.

About you

We have a common vision for every person, every church and every school to become more contemplative, compassionate and courageous for the sake of God’s world.

Does that mean that everyone who works for us is Christian or heavily involved in their local church? At Church House in Kidlington, where there are a number of administrative and specialist support roles, around 50% of our staff are practising Christians.

While some roles carry a genuine occupational requirement for Christian faith, many do not. If there’s a job listed here where you think you can make a genuine difference, and you’re comfortable with the Christian vision, ethos and principles that underpin our work… then we’d love to hear from you!
