About the role:
We are seeking a Retrofit Project Coordinator to join our Property Department and support the delivery of our ambitious Retrofit programme. This role is central to our commitment to achieving Net Zero by 2035 across our portfolio of approximately 450 vicarage properties.
You will work closely with the Retrofit Lead to plan and implement retrofit improvements, manage data systems (including the Parity Database), and coordinate initiatives such as solar panel installations and insulation upgrades. You’ll also liaise with contractors, clergy, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to high standards.
About you:
You do not need to be a practising Christian or have a faith to work with us - around 50% of our staff are not practising Christians but are comfortable with the Christian ethos that underpins out work. However, all our staff do have a desire to make a difference.
What matters most is your commitment to sustainability, your attention to detail, and your enthusiasm for supporting the Diocese’s Net Zero goals. We’re looking for someone who brings strong organisational and administrative skills, communicates clearly and professionally, and can manage multiple priorities with accuracy and care.
You’ll be confident using Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and comfortable maintaining and optimising databases and software with the ability to train others in their use. You’ll enjoy working collaboratively across teams, liaising with contractors, and contributing to a shared mission.
Experience in property management, retrofit coordination, or working with energy performance data is highly desirable, but not essential as we’ll support your development. What’s essential is your experience coordinating projects, a proactive, flexible approach and your ability to work independently.
Benefits and Rewards:
- 25 days holiday per annum, rising each year by one day to a maximum of 30 days
- In addition to the statutory UK public holidays, the Diocese offers three privilege days
- Hybrid working
- Free parking and subsidised on-site café
- Generous employer pension contribution of 12.5% which includes a death in service benefit (5% Employee Contribution)
- Electric car and cycle-to-work salary sacrifice schemes
- Access to wellbeing support via Employee Assistance Programme
- Enhanced family-friendly policies and a generous sick pay provision
- Access to low-interest financial services from Churches Mutual Credit Union, including loans
