Full-time Rector for Stony Stratford with Calverton, Milton Keynes, Bucks

Nestled on the edge of Milton Keynes, Stony Stratford with Calverton offers the perfect blend of a historic market town with lively high street and tranquillity of rural life with Calverton. Both places benefit from the schools, extensive green spaces, lakes and parks, large shops, family leisure facilities, and strong transport links, which the new city of Milton Keynes offers.

The Parish seeks to appoint a priest of spiritual maturity, pastoral sensitivity with a vision to lead and minister with us into the next phase of our shared life. Worship is offered using Common Worship with Anglo-Catholic ceremony within two well-established and distinctive churches.

We are a committed and diverse congregation, ready to develop our mission with renewed unity.

 

We seek a Rector who will:

  • Lead prayerful, uplifting worship
  • Offer gentle, compassionate pastoral care to people of all ages
  • Connect confidently with the new estates and wider community
  • Develop a program of Christian learning and discipleship
  • Work collaboratively with our committed PCC and congregation
  • Help us grow our ministry among children, young people and families
  • Develop our partnership with St Mary and St Giles CE Primary School
  • Bring humour, patience and wisdom as we continue to grow as disciples
