A VILLAGE Advent calendar with a difference is telling the Christmas story in Steeple Aston, Oxfordshire.
Different organisations and individuals (the WI, the Toddler Group, several school classes, the cricket club, the PCC and some families) have taken boxes we provided and decorated the interior of them to match Bible verses from the Nativity. These have been placed in the church, covered with numbers from one to 25 with one being opened each day in Advent, revealing the next part of the story.
The Revd Marcus Green, the Rector, said: "We are having a wonderful time and bit by bit the village advent calendar will lead us up to Christmas. "Below are the images and corresponding Gospel verses for the Steeple Aston Advent Calendar.
