The Revd Kalantha Brewis will join the diocese as the Diocesan Director of Ordinands and lead for the wider DDO team. Kalantha will take up her post in March.
After studying history at Cambridge, Kalantha qualified as a solicitor. While bringing up her family, Kalantha trained for licensed lay ministry and subsequently for ordination.
She undertook a curacy in central Worcester and, for the last six years, has been Rector of a team of four parishes to the west of the River Severn, where she is also Area Dean.
She serves in the Diocese of Worcester as an Assistant DDO and in wider vocations work. She was appointed an Honorary Chaplain to the King in June of this year.
