Ian Macdonald has been the youth adviser for the Diocese since June 2003 and brings with him 20+ years experience of working with teenagers, as well as 7 years experience of actually being one

In the role of youth adviser he provides:

  • Consultancy to parishes, PCCs and youth workers.Ian-MacDonald
  • Training for youth leaders.
  • Monthly e-mail to youth leaders
  • Support for paid parish youth workers including a Licensing Process
  • Support for deanery initiatives.
  • Organisation of Diocesan events for young people, including the Yellow Braces camp.
  • Liaison with Local Authority.
  • Liaison with Voluntary Youth Services.
  • Web Resources and links including the daily Youthblog
  • Training and opportunities for young leaders
