EVERYONE is welcome to get their needles clicking away to make a sea of poppies at regular Knit and Natter sessions in Cookham, Berkshire.

The poppies will form crosses as part of a display to mark the Great War Centenary on 11 November, at Holy Trinity Church.

The project has only just started and the organisers would love you to pop along. All you need is a pair of size three knitting needles (old size 10).

A pattern and red wool will be provided.

If you can't knit and would like to learn, there are plenty of people who would be happy to get you started. The next meeting is on Monday 12 March from 10. 30am in the Parish Centre at Holy Trinity, Cookham.

The finished display will be in the church from All Souls to Remembrance Sunday.
