Dear Lord,
Thank you for being with us today
and for caring for all our schools in the Diocese of Oxford.
As we wait for a new Bishop,
please bless the person you are calling to this role.
Help them to show enthusiasm, joy, and love,
and let their light shine brightly
so it can be seen across all the schools in our diocese.
Give them courage and strength so they do not give up.
Help them to be fair, inclusive, and kind,
to be confident as an individual,
and to be visible so others can see your love through them.
Help them to listen carefully and hear the children’s voices,
to value every child, and to lead with wisdom, hope, and joy.
May they help our schools grow in faith and love.
