Archdeacon of Berkshire

, ,

The Bishop of Oxford is looking for a colleague in the Reading Episcopal Area who has a cool, clear head and a compassionate heart; an eye for detail and a broad perspective; and an ability to distinguish between mountains and molehills,  to share with him and the Area Bishop of Reading in the spiritual and practical leadership of God’s people in this vibrant part of the Thames Valley.

Our new Archdeacon will be a member of a forward-looking and creative Bishop’s Staff Team committed to our common vision to be a Church that is more Christ-like – more contemplative, more compassionate and more courageous – for the sake of God’s world, while serving in the Reading Episcopal Area as part of a closely-knit Area Team.

If you have a commitment to the pastoral care and welfare of the clergy and their families; enjoy finding creative solutions to the day to day challenges facing the church; are able to see mission opportunities, can make things happen and are exploring a vocation to archidiaconal ministry in an environment in which you could flourish and contribute, we would love to hear from you.

This post will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and right to work in the UK checks.
