Third Order of the Society of St Francis (TSSF)
The Third Order consists of men and women, ordained and lay, married and single, who believe that God is calling them to live out their Franciscan vocation in this world in their own homes and in their normal daily lives. Living under a rule of life, with the help of a spiritual director, members (called tertiaries) encourage one another in living and witnessing to Christ. The Third Order is organised in local groups to enable regular meetings to be held. It is international in scope, with a Minister General and five Minister Provincials.www.franciscans.org.uk
