Earlier this week, I had the pleasure of visiting St Peter’s CE Primary School, Cassington. Having had the opportunity to speak to Jon Jeffries, the headteacher I then toured the school to see their values in action. The school has an effective method of displaying their shared values through a wheel that enables them to be embedded and lived throughout the school. In the brief time I was in the school, I encountered fish, pirates, crocodiles and yoga and all of those clearly reflected what makes this school such a wonderful place to learn.

Yesterday, my heart swelled with pride as two of our schools demonstrated their musical prowess at the Church of England’s National Education Conference. St Peter’s CE Primary School, Burnham and St Paul’s Combined School, Wooburn Green were part of the mass choir that top and tailed the day. Together with Charlie Kerr, our chaplaincy adviser jointly leading a workshop it was a great day to be part of the Diocese of Oxford.

Till next week.
