Benefice of Brize Norton, Carterton and Black Bourton Team Vicar (H4D)

Christ Church, Oxford and Eton College, as joint patrons, seek to appoint a TEAM VICAR (House for Duty - 2 days + Sunday) to the Benefice of Brize Norton with Carterton and Black Bourton

We are three parishes: St John the Evangelist serves the town of Carterton, with St Britius in Brize Norton and St Mary the Virgin in Black Bourton.

We offer a four-bedroom house on Shilton Park in Carterton, near local amenities and within easy reach of the Cotswolds, Oxford and beyond.  There are good schools, public transport and health services.

We are praying for someone who will:

• Build relationships and help our churches flourish as vibrant places of worship, welcoming to all
• Be a spiritual teacher who encourages deeper understanding of scripture and discipleship among all ages and who will help to grow occasional offices ministry
• Work collaboratively with our leadership team and help to grow gifting among congregations

For an informal discussion about this role, please contact Jane Haslam, Associate Archdeacon, at jane.haslam@oxford.anglican.org or Revd Barry Hanson, Team Rector, at rector@bncbb.org.uk.

Candidates may apply for:

• The Team Vicar role only; or
• The Team Vicar role together with the additional youth work role.
