The SIAMS Evaluation Schedule can be found through the link below.

You can expect your inspection, in the same long term, five years after your last inspection. You will usually be notified on a Monday for inspection the following week – see the protocols document and the process document for more details. School are encouraged to undertake regular self-evaluation within the SIAMS schedule and, while this is not compulsory, inspectors will request self-evaluation information prior to the inspection. The National Society  has produced a format to help schools do this but the school can use any format for self-evaluation it wishes.

Following initial contact with the inspector and their receipt of self-evaluation documents you will receive a Pre-Inspection Plan from the inspector 24-48 hours  before the inspection.

If you have a SIAMS inspection arranged and Ofsted call please phone Tracy Richardson on 01865 208 242 and we will rearrange your inspection.

Mid-Term Reviews:

Since September 2015 we have been carrying out Mid-Term SIAMS reviews in schools, this half day visit forms part of our SLA. One of our advisers will visit to help you assess progress since your last inspection and how to best prepare for your next one.  The adviser allocated to you will contact the school  to arrange a suitable date and the timetable for the morning visit. This visit is tailored to suit your needs.
