Special reflections on Encounters with Jesus →
These prayerful reflections explore some of the ways in which Jesus interacted with people that he met. They are designed for students in Key Stage 3 but may be useful with KS 2 or 4 pupils. The explorations use an approach to the Bible known as Lectio Divina, in which a passage is read several times. We hope that you will find them helpful.
To use the reflections
- Find a quiet place and time, you may wish to light a candle;
- Sit calmly and comfortably;
- Read the Bible passage as directed at the top of the page;
- The ‘Further Thoughts’ section may be useful after the three readings;
- Remember to read slowly and carefully;
- Do not be afraid to pause to leave time to think.
