To support parish safeguarding work, the diocese now uses Safeguarding Dashboards, developed by Clearly Simpler Limited.
The purpose of the system is to make safeguarding administration and governance streamlined for all parishes. Full information of how to use the system and contact details can be found at safeguardingdashboards.org.uk.
Clearly Simpler, have now developed the Safeguarding Hub which enables all aspects of safer recruitment and training requirements to recorded in one place. The safeguarding hub will be available to all parishes and has been purchased by the diocese with the aim of making recording and storing of this information simpler and more efficient.

A Church Near You has general contact details for every parish and each parish page should include safeguarding information. If for any reason you cannot locate the person or information you require, please get in touch with the diocesan safeguarding team.
If you are a PSO and would like to update your record, follow these instructions for accessing the Diocesan Directory.
The Safeguarding Handbook should be read alongside Safer Environment & Activities (2019). This has been produced by the national Church to provide practical advice to parishes, helping them to run their day-to-day activities as safely as possible.
You can find other resources for parishes, such as the porch poster Promoting a Safer Church on the Church of England safeguarding resources page. Any hard copies of these resources should be ordered through Church House Publishing.
