Rector (House for Duty) – Ducklington with Hardwick Benefice

,

We wish to appoint a House for Duty Rector to the Ducklington with Hardwick benefice. We are an active single parish benefice situated in a semi-rural village, one mile south of Witney on the edge of the Cotswolds. We have good transport links to Oxford, 10 miles to the east.

We seek a House for Duty Rector for two days plus Sundays each week who is:

  • Kind, compassionate, a good listener and a spiritual guide.
  • Comfortable leading both traditional and contemporary styles of worship.
  • Motivated to help the congregation and community deepen their faith.
  • Willing to support and inspire us to attract families through interaction with the school and community, and to maintain our strong links with the village Primary School.
  • Able to focus on growing and developing a single benefice church with the support of a committed team of volunteers and LLMs.
  • Sympathetic to village life and the role of the church within it.

We can offer:

  • A very warm welcome and the hand of friendship.
  • A five-bedroom Rectory within walking distance of the church.
  • A committed and supportive lay team.
