Property Manager


The Diocese of Oxford is one of the largest charities in the Thames Valley, with a substantial property portfolio. We are looking for an experienced Property Manager who will oversee the letting of our vacant properties and will support the Buildings Team with the purchase and disposal of properties.

The post holder will assist the Director of Glebe and Buildings with the Diocesan housing stock of approx. 450 houses and a Glebe portfolio of approx. 5,000 acres of land. They will be the main point of contact for all matters relating to residential tenants and lettings, together with related legal matters and will be responsible for:

  • maximising the opportunity to let vacant properties;
  • ensuring all paperwork for clergy and residential tenants is produced;
  • assessing the suitability of Diocesan properties for letting and ensuring works are carried out;
  • liaising with agents, solicitors and others in respect of property disposals/acquisitions.

Our ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of rental, letting, energy performance and tenancy deposit and an understanding of the legal requirements for leasing properties. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong negotiation skills and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information. A knowledge of the processes for house purchases and disposal would be an advantage but is not essential.

Salary:             £34,914.78 pro rata, per annum
