Programme Leader for Local Ministry Pathway

Do you have an awareness of creative approaches to mission and ministry in the contemporary church?  Do you have experience in either adult education or higher education and willingness to work for a suitable qualification in education?  Do you have skills in collaborative team working and familiarity with a range of IT programmes?

If so, this could be the role for you.

We are looking for someone to foster local mission through co-ordinating the training of interested learners and candidates for authorised or licensed lay and ordained ministry in the Diocese of Oxford, supporting the wider diocesan teaching programme for IME Phases 1 & 2, working with colleagues in the Team for Initial Ministerial Education (TIME Team) and with volunteer tutors throughout the diocese.

Our ideal candidate will have a degree in Theology or a comparable qualification and experience of ministry in the local church, either lay or ordained.  You will be responsible for providing day to day leadership for the Local Ministry Pathway in collaboration with the Principal.  You will co-ordinate the training of ordinands on the Local Ministry Pathway and as a member of the TIME team contribute to teaching, marking and moderation as part of IME Phases 1 and 2.

If you join us, you will be part of the dynamic team of the Department of Mission, working with colleagues who support and enable the mission and ministry of the whole people of God across Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire.

Hours:             FTE 37 hour per week

Salary scale:    £39,228 per annum

Location:        Church House Oxford, Langford Locks, Kidlington
