The act brought together Christians, Muslim and Jewish leaders in the annual St Frideswide Civic Service, which is welcome to people of all faiths and none.

Frideswide means Strong Peace and in Old English and that was the theme of the service. Four schools, King Alfred's Academy, Beckley cofe Primary, Wootton St Peter's cofe Primary and Radley College performed a mixture of music, poetry and produced illustrations for a service sheet.
