Incumbent of Woodstock & Bladon and Area Dean of Woodstock Deanery

,

We are two parishes a few miles north of Oxford, adjoining the World Heritage Site of Blenheim Park. Our church life is in the mainstream Anglican tradition. We value our liturgical and musical tradition and we are always willing to explore new forms of liturgy. Our congregations are, on the whole, well-educated and liberal in theological outlook and include people at different stages on the Christian journey. We enjoy an intelligent and well-argued sermon, sometimes accompanied by visual aids.

Could you be the priest to lead us in our Christian pilgrimage?

We are looking for a priest:

  • With a strong personal faith and commitment to personal spiritual growth with sound theological and biblical knowledge.
  • Who is enthusiastic for communicating the word of God engagingly and intelligently.
  • Who will work closely in collaboration with clergy and laity alike.
  • Who is comfortable with different styles of worship and sensitive to liturgy.
  • Who will build up our ministry to children and young people.
  • Who will aim to grow the Church in Woodstock & Bladon in numbers and faith.
  • Who will be a visible presence in both our communities.
