This is no ordinary adviser post. You’ll be right at the heart of our innovative HR service, advising the Bishop’s staff and Diocesan Board of Finance with staff and clergy related HR matters.
A natural self-starter with a creative approach to problem solving, you will be responsible for the ongoing development of high practice standards for one of the largest and most diverse dioceses in the Church of England. Working under the leadership of the Director of HR and as part of a proactive and “can do” team, you will:
support the implementation of people policies through policy development, HR reporting and service improvements;
provide a professional and confidential HR service on all employee and clergy relations issues;
manage the case portfolio for contractual matters for employees, contractors and volunteers;
coach and support managers in developing high performing, motivated teams;
You will be educated to degree level, or equivalent gained through professional experience, with Chartered membership of the Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and able to demonstrate previous success as a HR adviser.
