The Allchurches Trust launched a scheme last year, inviting churches that were at particularly high risk of metal theft to apply for grants towards alarm/protection systems. The trust has now announced that any church to apply for a grant of up to £1,000. The closing date for applications is 31 March 2017. Application forms can be downloaded from the website. and any queries, should be sent to rps@allchurches.co.uk,

Jeremy Noles, Grants Officer for the Allchurches Trust, said: “We would urge any parishes wishing to apply for a grant to do so as soon as possible in the New Year. We aim to give a response to all applications within one month of receipt, and would normally expect works funded with the help of a grant under this scheme to be completed by 31st December 2017, though in exceptional circumstances we may agree to an extension to this.

“We believe this scheme provides an opportunity for a successful partnership between Allchurches Trust and local churches in order to tackle a recognised problem nationally, and we look forward to receiving any further applications from interested churches.”
