FULL TIME YOUTH WORKER:  Trinity Church, Lower Earley, Reading

If you’re a youth worker with the passion, heart, vision and experience to combine working in both a church and community-based environment, then apply for this post!

We are a lively, family focused church who love Jesus, and are increasingly evangelical and open to the Holy Spirit. We want to go deeper as disciples so we can be salt and light 24-7.

To respond more effectively to the needs, challenges and opportunities of our local youth, we need a full-time youth worker to:

  • lead, co-ordinate and grow our volunteer team
  • develop and implement a fresh youth strategy that both nurtures our own small youth group and involves us in what are excellent local community-based opportunities.
  • partner with other stakeholders and churches to work in local secondary schools and other youth activities.

We are a Local Ecumenical Partnership on the outskirts of Reading, next to a large ASDA, local leisure centre, library, pub, doctors’ surgery and community centre.

There is a community centre next door. This has seen statutory youth work whittled away but, with our initiative and your enthusiasm, a new programme could develop.

We have supported student youth workers for 4 years. The church is very supportive of stepping up to having a full-time youth worker.

We are keen to find the right person. This could be you. If this post grabs your attention then please get in touch.
