Full-time Associate Pastor for Youth and Young Adults, Lower Earley, Reading

Trinity Church seeks full-time Associate Pastor for Youth and Young Adults

As a result of experience gained over the last four years, including the pandemic, and locally envisaged kingdom-building opportunities, Trinity Church seeks to employ a full-time lay Associate Pastor to play an important part in creatively and boldly maximising their impact for God, with specific oversight for youth and young adults’ work.

This post acknowledges that youth and 20s-30s ministry are critically important for the growth of the local church. The church is looking for someone with the pioneering passion, heart, vision, ideas, skills and experience to help increase our capacity to build on the progress they have made and facilitate growth in the following ways:

  1. Developing a local partnership approach/model to youth work.
  2. Build and retain a critical mass of young adults/young families.
  3. Maximise involvement with the other local churches as part of the newly emerging Earley Help Hub to serve the local community and explore fresh models of church to increase the Christian impact.
  4. Help lead, manage and develop our existing ministry and worship commitments.

Since the mid-1980s, Trinity Church has been a Local Ecumenical Partnership on the outskirts of Reading, next to a large ASDA, local leisure centre, library, pub, doctors’ surgery and community centre. It’s a lively, family-focused church who loves Jesus, and are increasingly evangelical and open to the Holy Spirit. We are keen to rebuild and re-imagine an attractive and relevant local church following the COVID-19 pandemic. We are a founding member of the Earley Help Hub set up in response to COVID-19, and which plans to continue exploring ways to show and share Jesus by serving the community.

We’re excited to be advertising this post and are really keen to find the right person. This could be you, so if this post grabs your attention, please get in touch.
