This course aims to deepen our understanding of the New Testament and will offer focused study on John’s gospel and Paul’s letters, particularly 1 Corinthians. It is designed for those who have already attended a level 4 ‘Introduction to the Bible’ course or similar. It will be of particular interest to LLMs and authorized preachers who have already completed their training, as well as anyone interested in developing their understanding of the New Testament and the responsible use of texts in ministry today.
The course will be delivered through structured learning materials each week (work through these at your own pace), an in-person Study Day (Sat 5 March), and eight online group tutorials.
Learning materials (videos, guided reading and online tasks) for week 1 will go ‘live’ by Fri 7 January. You will then work through these materials at your own pace, in time for your first group tutorial on Weds 12 Jan. Learning materials for future weeks will be released each week, for you to work through ahead of each subsequent tutorial.
Bookings will close on Weds 5 January (6pm) in order for tutorial groups to be allocated ahead of the first tutorials (indicate your preferences on our Moodle VLE).
