Due to unforeseen circumstances we have had to postpone this session.
Continuously driving school improvement, in all its forms, is a significant pressure on today’s school leaders. Finding the time and space to take an objective look at your current practice is equally tough and yet the expectations on leadership teams in schools remain high. This afternoon session will provide you with an opportunity to consider current research and best practice and offer you the scope to critically evaluate your own school’s needs in order to move your school towards greater success in the future.
A DBE team of advisers, including serving Ofsted and SIAMS inspectors will facilitate the session and we will consider together:
- The demands of the Ofsted framework and its potential impact
- The essential elements of great school improvement plans and processes
- The crucial importance of you, as a leader, and how to look after yourself
- How improvement can move towards transformation in your school
We have found schools benefit most from this session if the leadership team come together to reflect and evaluate. Time will be given throughout the afternoon to question, discuss and work together. If your team (or just you) need a chance to take a short time out of school, to network, question and learn, we’d love to see you!
