Introducing Lay Ministry – On Line Course
THIS COURSE WILL EXPLORE THE THEOLOGY OF MINISTRY, LAY AND ORDAINED, and also issues of support and supervision. For those training for Licensed Lay Ministry, this day is a compulsory element of the TMM 1451 Foundations for Reflective Practice module. Other interested learners are also very welcome.The course will open on 15th September, which will include an optional introduction to the course from 7-8pm. You will then be asked to work through some online learning resources at your own pace. These will include short videos, guided reading and other tasks and activities. You will need to have completed these elements of the course prior to group tutorials on Sat 26th September, which will mark the end of the course.Full joining instructions will be issued upon booking through Eventbrite.Start: Tues 15th September (7-8pm) – Optional introduction to the online course
Finish: Saturday 26th September (10am-12noon or 1-3 pm)nb. If students attending this course are also attending the LLM Ministry Teams training, your tutorial for this Lay Ministry course will need to be arranged for the ‘other’ half of the day when you are not learning about Ministry Teams. Please ensure you arrange this in good time.
Cost : £20 This course is free to all Diocesan LLMs in Training and Ordinands, and their supporters. However, we also welcome others to take part, and make a nominal charge of £20 for this course (when booking your place, please use the “Other Interested Learner” Ticket option)
