Excellence in Schools: SIAMS Self Evaluation Workshop

22 March @ 9:30 am - 3:30 pm

This course enables participants to consider the central question posed by SIAMS:

 ‘How effective is the school’s distinctive Christian vision, established and promoted by leadership at all levels, in enabling pupils and adults to flourish?’

 The course includes:

  • An outline of the new SIAMS self-evaluation and inspection processes;

  • Opportunities to draft aspects of the SIAMS self-evaluation;

  • Time to focus on how the central question can be addressed in your context;

  • A chance to consider appropriate evidence and impact to include in the self-evaluation;

  • Time to share ideas with colleague and to draft aspects of your SEF.

 
By the end of the course participants will have:

An up-to-date perspective on the SIAMS inspection process and associated documentation;

  • Shared ideas about the effectiveness of their vision as church schools and evidence available to illustrate this;

  • Considered and drafted aspects of the SIAMS self-evaluation;

  • Reviewed next steps in their own school self-evaluation.

Target Audience:
Headteachers, senior leaders and governors. We recommend schools send 2 attendees.

Parking
Parking is sometimes limited at this venue so car share if possible.

What can I bring into the event?
A colleague and a laptop.  Lunch is provided so please ensure you advise dietary requirements.
