Berkshire Exploring Vocations Group
Open to all exploring God’s call on their lives and seeking to understand how to respond. These sessions will offer the opportunity to meet others on the same journey, to reflect on aspects of ministering in the Church of England. Each Session is standalone.
Tuesday 27th July, 7.30 – 8.30 pm
Ministry – Relationships and Practical Challenges
An opportunity for those exploring calling and their partners (or close friends, family and supporters) to look at key relational and practical challenges arising from a life in ordained ministry and to identify the conversations they might need to have at this stage in their journeys. Led by Matthew Caminer.
Matthew, a retired management consultant, is married to a Church of England minister attached to All Saints’, Ascot, where he directs the band and co-ordinates the weekly Men’s Breakfast group. He has run workshops and been guest speaker for congregations, vocation seekers, ordinands and clergy, usually with their partners, and has served as a diocesan work consultant. He enjoys helping individuals to explore the challenges and choices of clergy family life, with particular focus on the conversations that are vital so that assumptions, expectations, and boundaries can be handled in a healthy and life-giving way. Matthew has written on clergy family wellbeing for SPCK and Grove Booklets.
Open to anyone considering God’s call (whether in the Berkshire Area or further afield) and particularly relevant for those thinking about ordained ministry and their partners.
