Appeals Briefings 2018

These are sessions for all Governors, Headteachers and Administrators in Aided Schools and Academies involved in the appeals process.  The aim of these evening briefings is to refresh and update those tasked with administering or presenting their admissions authority at an appeal.  There will be the opportunity look at the School Admission Appeals Code and to consider the documents needed and how you can best support the school’s case at an appeal.

 

During the session there will be a presentation, including time for discussions on various issues, including:

 

  • The list of documents required
  • Areas of concern regarding infant class size appeals
  • Issues to raise in Governors’ Statements
  • What and how much information an appellant can request from the school
  • Local Government Ombudsman and Education Funding Agency update
  • Concerns raised by the OSA

Times (all venues: 6.30 pm – 9.00 pm (approximately)

 

Cost: Schools in the Diocesan Service Agreement: £45 + VAT

Schools not in the Diocesan Service Agreement: £110+ VAT
