Data Analyst

We long to see more people from every part of our diverse diocese come to know Jesus. God is already at work in more than 1,000 churches and chaplaincies and schools in this diocese. We want to discern what he is already doing in our communities and figure out how best to join in.

That’s where you come in. We’re looking for a talented data analyst who can help our parishes, area offices and Church House teams to use and learn from a wide range of data insights.

This is a brand-new position with influence across the diocese. We’re at the start of our data journey, so you’ll play a key role in developing key metrics, tools, dashboard reporting, and you’ll spot the gaps in data and insight to answer questions that we haven’t yet asked.

We value the gifting and diversity of every parish/benefice; data and insight isn’t about the ‘McDonaldisation’ of the Church. But we are all called to become more Christ-like: contemplative, compassionate and courageous for the sake of God’s world. This new post is a key component in enabling that vision and supporting local mission.

You’ll be joining the Diocese of Oxford at an incredibly exciting time, and this post has genuine scope to make a positive impact on the life of the diocese.

We’re not so interested where you’re working or the hours you’re working – it’s the difference you’ll make that counts.

For an informal discussion before application, please get in touch with Steven Buckley, the director responsible for this position, on 01865 208 224.

Hours: Flexible, 15 – 22 hours per week
Location: Flexible with the potential to work from home or Church House Oxford
Salary: £41,220 to 44,392 per annum, pro-rata
