Data Analyst / Adviser

The Diocese of Oxford is looking to appoint to this important new role which will support the mission of the Diocese of Oxford through enabling a significant increase in the collection, collation, analysis and use of data at parish, deanery and diocesan level.

Working closely with the Bishop of Oxford, Director of Mission and other key members of the senior leadership of the Diocese, the role will include:

  • facilitating creative usage of data and statistics to support mission planning at all levels within the diocese
  • cataloguing current data sources
  • reviewing existing diocesan data; its collection, analysis and use
  • supporting new areas of research identified
  • working in collaboration with the national Research and Statistics department
  • identifying those areas of data analysis needed specifically by the Diocese of Oxford.
  • enabling clear communication of the ways in which the information management system can be used by diocesan, deanery and parochial staff.

If you join us, you will be part of the dynamic team of the Department of Mission, working with colleagues who support and enable the mission and ministry of the whole people of God across Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire.

Hours:             18.5 hours per week (0.5FTE)

Contract:        One-year fixed term

Salary scale:    £33,559 pro-rata per annum

Location:        Church House Oxford, Langford Locks, Kidlington
