Church at Home
Come and Eat
Come and Eat is a podcast series on Holy Communion, the profound, wonderful meal at the heart of our faith. It focuses on the Eucharist and on resetting our sacramental life as we face the months ahead, looking at different sections of John 6 and Jesus’ invitation to his disciples in John 21 to ‘come and eat.’
Listen online at Bishop Steven’s blog or search ‘Bishop Steven‘ wherever you get your podcasts.
A transcript is also available on Bishop Steven’s blog.
Bishop Steven has asked some of our very creative liturgists to draw together some resources and prayers for parishes to mark this season of regathering and rededication.
These resources invite churches to renew their thanksgiving to God for the ‘wonderful sacrament’ of Holy Communion.
Livestreams from your local church
Churches across the diocese are livestreaming their events. Join a service or event wherever you are from one of over 700 churches in the Diocese of Oxford.
Live streamed services are available to view again at any time. Orders of service are available to view for each service.
Our Bishops and clergy regularly talk about the Church response to the coronavirus crisis on our local BBC Radio stations. Listen to those interviews here. To request an interview, email email@example.com
We are offering live streamed worship for the Diocese on Sundays and Holy Days in the coming months to complement what is offered by local churches. This Diocesan prayer and worship is designed to be sustainable over the long haul, collaborative, creative, accessible to all traditions, and reliable. We are prioritising, not competing with, local church streams. Our principal Diocesan services will be at 10am each Sunday.
