Communications Officer – Content

,

The pace of change for communications in every organisation is high. It is a pace driven by changes in society, the exponential growth of digital technologies and a very different media landscape to just ten years ago… and the Church is not immune. Societal attitudes to religion, secular brand loyalty and belief in charities has changed dramatically. The challenge to successfully engage in all aspects of church life and mission in a noisy world has never been greater.

Our energetic communications department delivers exceptional communications, marketing and public relations support across the Diocese of Oxford. From tools and publications to enable local mission to extraordinary stories of hope and change, communications officers play an essential part in helping clergy, parishes, and Church House staff communicate well.

We are now seeking to recruit a Communications Officer to an existing post in the team.

Communications Officer – Content

You will oversee our marketing communications and PR approach; gathering, editing and promoting stories to demonstrate the breadth and diversity of what it means to become a more Christ-like Church. You will also help to productise diocesan initiatives such as the Parish Planning Tool.
