We are looking for an ordained Anglican minister who will join us in our mission and ministry here in Denham. Our vision is to pray, welcome and share like Jesus. We are a growing church in a diverse parish in South Bucks, just outside Greater London (Uxbridge), with many opportunities to share the love of Christ in word and action.

We seek an associate minister who:

  • is creative and innovative in shaping mission and discipleship
  • is comfortable leading worship in a variety of styles, from BCP to Messy Church
  • will develop the many opportunities we have through occasional offices
  • is committed to teaching and preaching from the Bible as the divinely inspired Word of God and supreme authority
  • is a team player and has a good track record of leading teams
  • will take significant responsibility in some or all of the following areas: ministry to seniors, developing our prayer life, developing leaders and small groups
  • will work for the equivalent of two days a week plus Sundays

Saint James Gerrards Cross with Fulmer is a thriving, exciting and dynamic evangelical church in South Buckinghamshire. House for Duty Team Minister – The Schorne Team of Parishes, Archdeaconry of Buckingham

The Schorne Team of Parishes is seeking a House for Duty Team Minister in either Anglican or Methodist orders based in North Marston to work flexibly with colleagues in the Team.

The New Team Vicar:

  •  will be a team player who is able to demonstrate a good understanding of the particular needs and nuances of rural communities
  • will work for the equivalent of two days a week plus Sundays and will have pastoral responsibility for the two parishes of North Marston and Granborough
  • will enjoy being a member of a highly supportive lay and clergy team

 In particular:

  • We enjoy strong lay leadership and need to grow more leaders to help turn our vision into reality
  • There is a full youth work programme ministering to over 70 children and young people in the two parishes
  • We also offer good pastoral care and look for guidance and leadership to develop this ministry

In addition, we offer:

Saint James Gerrards Cross with Fulmer is a thriving, exciting and dynamic church. As a church, we believe that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the true hope of every person and we seek to make Him known through all that we do and the way that we do it. We have about 800 members, a large staff team and hundreds of volunteers which enable us to deliver a vast array of ministries. In order to fulfil the mission that God is calling us to we feel it is essential for an additional member of clergy to join the team in order to provide dedicated leadership to our pastoral care ministries with a particular focus on enhancing our work with older people and women within our congregations.

This is a Self Supporting Clergy Role which will take responsibility for the strategic development and operational running of all pastoral care and seniors ministries supported by excellent teams (both volunteer and paid).  They will also play a full role in the clergy team, and take a share of the clerical duties of a thriving church.

Hours of work

Twenty hours per week.  Your specific days and hours of work are to be agreed and can be flexible.
