One parish – three churches

We are a parish with three churches on the outskirts of Maidenhead, Berkshire.

We are seeking a priest in the middle-of-the-road/broad Anglican tradition to lead our three distinctive churches, each with its own pattern of worship, as one lively and collaborative parish.

Are you:

Wanted:

Energetic Mission Enthusiast for our three-village parish located in semi-rural west Berkshire with good transport links.

Job description:

We are looking for a rector who will help us to grow the church community in our three villages and to develop strong links between the church and the wider community.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead and support the Ministry Team and PCC to grow the church family;
  • Work with the PCC to develop a strategy for children and youth ministry within our parish;
  • Get out into the community to engage with individuals, groups and organisations to show what the church does and how it can work in the villages to everyone’s benefit;
  • Ensure that all parishioners are well supported through pastoral care for all ages;
  • Build on and strengthen links with local schools;
  • Nurture and encourage church members to explore their own personal ministry;
  • Lead with confidence a range of styles of service.
