Cafe Assistant – Immediate Start

If so, this role could be for you….

We are currently seeking an experienced catering individual to work closely with the Facilities Manager, in our new, modern office building in Kidlington to assist with the running of our staff café. This is a fairly new venture for the diocese, and something close to our hearts, but we need YOU to help it happen!

The role will involve all aspects of running the café such as preparing and serving food on site to staff and visitors; keeping the café and kitchen area clean and tidying away at the end of service. As this is open to any visitors that come to the building we want to provide a professional and warm welcome to all.

We are looking for a highly flexible individual with a ‘can do’ attitude, and good communication skills; someone who ideally has qualifications in food hygiene standards (although this can be provided) and customer service experience, but most of all someone who has energy and enthusiasm to want to make this a success!

Hours:             18 per week Monday-Thursday 10.00-14.30

Salary:             National Living Wage –  £8.45 per hour

Location:        Church House Oxford, Langford Locks, Kidlington, OX5 1GF

Although this role is currently temporary, there is the potential for this to become a permanent role, depending on the success of the venture.
