Our grouping of seven supportive, open-hearted, rural parishes of broad churchmanship just north of Oxford is looking for a collaborative colleague to join our busy team.
The job is for two full days per week (including evenings) plus Sunday duty. We are looking for someone who:
• has intelligence and warmth
• is equipped with good inter-personal skills
• enjoys parish life in small communities
• is a thoughtful and sensitive preacher
• has a clear personal spirituality and good liturgical awareness
It would be an advantage if you could help us with Christian education and formation or with families’ work, but this should not exclude enquiries from candidates with other skills.
You will join a very harmonious team consisting of a full-time rector, two retired priests and an LLM working cooperatively with a splendid group of churchwardens with lots of positive things happening.
Accommodation is in a modern, well-appointed, four-bedroomed house. The benefice includes three good CofE primary schools and enjoys excellent transport links via the M40 and several trains per hour to London and Birmingham.
The Rector, Gareth Miller, is very happy to have informal telephone conversations with interested persons. Tel : 01869 350224 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Please see the Parish Profile for further information. To apply, please complete an Application Form and Recruitment Monitoring Form and return these to: The Archdeacon of Dorchester, Church House Oxford, Langford Locks, Kidlington, OX5 1GF, telephone: 01865 208245. email: email@example.com
