Ian Macdonald has been the youth adviser for the Diocese since June 2003 and brings with him 20+ years experience of working with teenagers, as well as 7 years experience of actually being one ![]()
In the role of youth adviser he provides:
- Consultancy to parishes, PCCs and youth workers.
- Training for youth leaders.
- Support for paid parish youth workers including a Licensing Process
- Support for deanery initiatives.
- Organisation of Diocesan events for young people, including the Yellow Braces camp.
- Liaison with Local Authority.
- Liaison with Voluntary Youth Services.
- Web Resources and links including the daily Youthblog
- Training and opportunities for young leaders
