Adding a vacancy to the site

Date Added: Tuesday 29th March 2005

If you represent a parish, benefice or other recognised organisation with formal links to the diocese you can place vacancies on the diocesan website.

Individuals opting to receive notifications of vacancies by e-mail will receive an alert when it is added.

Parishes and other groups in the diocese should send their completed vacancy material to the relvant Bishop or Archdeacon's office (not to the web team!) who will update the website.

Include:

  • The date you want the advert to appear.
  • Concise but interesting advert text for the vacancy
  • Job Title (e.g. Priest in Charge of St James' Milton Keynes)
  • Parish Name (if applicable)
  • Application Form (if not the standard clergy application form)
  • Parish Profile (PDF or Word format)

the parish profile  - when published - will be a single PDF document no greater than 2.5mb.

Photographs are fine but please do not include scanned text as images.

If you are not able to create the PDF document yourself then the office to which you send the documents should be equipped to do so.

If sending a profile in multiple sections please name them meaningfully so the PDF profile can be compiled with ease. e.g. profile_01.doc, profile_02.doc.

  • Any External Links you would like to appear with the advert (e.g. Parish Website)
  • Closing date for applications
  • Interview date
  • Contact name, address, telephone number and e-mail address for further details
  • Legal requirements such as CRB (Criminal Records) disclosure.
