Eternal Curve

Date Added: Friday 5th May 2006

This band has always been known for excellence and here they continue the unique, chilled, spacious ethereal quality of Impossibly Beautiful.

Listen closely and you will hear so much going on - samples just big enough to hold between thumb and forefinger are lightly dropped into the mix. One track has just sixteen words, but its African percussion, improvised Malayalam vocals and breathy lead vocals create a lush visual picture. Later it is a dash of Japanese singing that helps build the mystical mood that lies gently on a bed of minimalist string patterns and soft dance rhythms.

While this has traded a little of the debut's gorgeous melodies for more ambience, it still deserves to be heard by millions.
