Kathy Winrow, Headteacher at Ranelagh, was among the inspirational Headteachers, teachers and teaching assistants from across the South of England who were invited to attend the regional ceremony of the National Teaching Awards 2005 on Monday, 4th July, at Winchester Guildhall.
The teaching awards aim to recognise and reward the outstanding achievements of the teaching profession by celebrating excellence in education
Kathy was nominated for the prestigious award by a Year 13 student and was chosen to receive a prize by a panel of judges as one of 32 finalists (only 3 Secondary Headteachers) across 10 categories from an initial field of over 5000 nominations.
She was presented with a certificate of commendation at the awards ceremony. Kathy is to be congratulated on her outstanding contribution to education throughout her career.
