Canon Arthur Dodds
A man of adventurous spirit and great faith, Canon Arthur Dodds was the founder of the Harnhill Centre for Christian Healing, near Cirencester. The centre was his vision, and came to fruition in 1986. Today more than 8,000 people a year come to receive the healing touch of Jesus. He died in January 2004 and will be sadly missed.
Canon Robin Baker
Robin ministered in Milton Keynes for 14 years from 1972 in the early days both of this new City and of the Ecumenical Movement He was then appointed to another pioneering task as Curate-in-Charge of a City Centre Church without a building or a congregation. Sadly Robin`s plans for the construction of an ecumenical City Centre church building proved too expensive to get approval and with real disappointment Robin moved on in 1986 to five years service as Team Rector of Banbury. In the outside wall of the Cornerstone Church are written the words ‘Christ the Cornerstone’ and ‘We the Living Stones.’ We can give thanks that it was Robin Baker who led so many to become ‘living stones’ in the Body of Christ, the spiritual building which is God`s Kingdom in Milton Keynes and in the wider world. Robin returned to Milton Keynes after retirement a few years ago and was invited to write a history of the ecumenical movement in Milton Keynes. The book was almost ready for publication when his final illness overtook him and he died earlier this year. Songs of Praise at Blenheim
