This is your life hit in Banbury

ALMOST 200 Christians from churches around Banbury joined together on Palm Sunday (4th April) to take part in 'Jesus: This is Your Life'.

This celebration of the impact of Jesus and his teaching down the centuries featured stories from a range of historical personalities, and culminated in the testimonies of three present day Banbury Christians – Nigel Deakin (Methodist), Rosemary Shadbolt (URC), John Punter (Anglican). Historical figures featured were: Peter, Mary Magdalene, a Roman Soldier, Barnabas, Paul, Lydia, Julian of Norwich, Martin Luther, Thomas Cranmer, Philip Doddridge, John Wesley, Elizabeth Fry, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Martin Luther King, & Mother Teresa.

The scripts were written by members of the St Mary's Anglican and URC congregations and the Marlborough Road Methodist congregation. The event was directed by Marilyn Fairbairn.
