Information about obtaining Clergy fees forms

Date Added: Tuesday 28th January 2003

If you would like to use the current Excel spreadsheet versions of any of the new forms for making returns of clergy fees (as mailed with the new guidance notes) we would be happy to send them by email (to your reply email address) if you contact us on the email address given at the bottom of this page.

The forms have not been turned into web forms - as opposed to spreadsheets - as had been envisaged in the guidance notes, at this juncture, as they might be revised or enhanced in the light of live usage. Apologies to those who hoped to use web forms from 8 October 2001

We look forward to expanding electronic means of recording, and in due course reporting, for those who want to use such methods, as they can be more efficient and cost saving. But back office systems at Church House Finance Department have also to change to cope with multiple methods of communicating with 630 parishes, at the same time as implementing the underlying changes of principle.

The spreadsheets come with health warnings that the Finance Department at Church House cannot take responsibility for:

Problems that you might experience with different versions of Excel, or clashes with other software, between that used in Church House and your computer,

Printing problems that can occur for whatever reason (and there are many with Excel!),

Any other reasons for wanting support because the spreadsheets have been supplied.

We are not set up for support in this way. It is expected that those who want to use the spreadsheets know what they can achieve with Excel - as well as their own and the package's limitations. If it does not work for you, it is back to paper!

As Forms B1 or B2 and C are documents that need signatures, and we are not yet set up with secure electronic signature systems, the Finance Department needs a hard copy duly signed with a cheque, by post. Form D is only hard copy and is supplied on request.

We are aware that a number of treasurers and clergy are wanting to expand or adapt forms, and/or integrate them by links into their current accounting systems. We have no problem with this; in fact we positively encourage it, because creative use might produce better accounting systems for all. Please continue to send us constructive feedback.

Please contact finance@oxford.anglican.org to receive your set of forms.
