If you attended the living faith day you will have heard about living faith training – but you don’t need to have been at the June 7th day to take advantage of the trainingliving faith training will enable parishes to design and run an evangelistic event to serve the people on the fringes of your church; people, that is, with whom you already have some contact..
An evangelistic event is just one of the ways in which we can help people on their journey to faith and discipleship. It is important that such events are planned with sensitivity, that they are done well and that parishes are able to learn from their experiences.
The first two training sessions take place on two Saturdays (9.30am – 12noon, see below for dates). There is a choice of venues to enable easy access from around the diocese. Choose the location that best suits the whole of your group and use this as your training centre for the whole of the process.
The evangelistic events will be held around the weekend of Mothering Sunday (March 22nd) 2009 and there will be a final training session on the morning of April 4th 2009 where churches will compare notes and celebrate all that they have achieved and learnt.
Training is free for parish and local ecumenical groups.
