A new magazine for girls, Caris, has been produced by the Church Times.
Aimed at 11-16 year olds, the magazine aims to provide fresh and inspiring stories for young teenagers.
The Door tested the magazine on girls from Earley St Peter’s youth group. They enjoyed reading at one of their sleepovers. Big hits were the real life stories and the fashion pages.
13 year old Grace Rawcliffe said she liked a lot about Caris but added: ‘What I didn’t like was the fact it only comes out four times a year. And I’d like to see more of the ‘big questions’ answered.
A grandmother of one of the girls, who bought the magazine subscription as a present for her granddaughter for Christmas said the magazine was ‘fun, but nice fun’.
Caris is available on subscription from www.carismag.co.uk priced just £8 a year, or less for group orders.
