Record 42 Confirmation Candidates At Aylesbury

On Epiphany Sunday a record 42 candidates were confirmed by Bishop Alan Wilson, Bishop of Buckingham at St Mary’s Church, Aylesbury. The Team Rector, Revd Shane Wood said, ‘The church was packed with family and friends to celebrate this special occasion.’

All the candidates were from the Team ministry. The age range of the service spanned from a baby presenting for baptism to a 90 year old candidate for confirmation. Bishop Alan said on his blog (www.bishopalan.blogspot.com): ‘The whole place was heaving, but with a real sense that the light that shone over the stable is now shining in and through people’s lives — pure joy, real hope.’
