Commemorating Newton in Olney

A weekend of commemoration takes place in Olney, Bucks, on 28 and 29 April, marking the bicentenary of John Newton’s death and the Abolition of the Slave Trade Act.

The programme includes a series of talks, history and a rousing concert in the parish church. Jonathan Aitken will share material from his forthcoming biography of Newton.
