Cutting Edge Pilots

  • Cutting Edge Ministries Pilot Projects

Below are details of the first initiatives that Cutting Edge Ministries have been able to support. There is much happening around the diocese and work is currently going on to develop a network and to share learning and experience. It is hoped to expand these pages in the coming months as part of this.
 
Discovery Days - a Community Ministry led by The Revd Penny Joyce.
Based on the new housing estate at Madley Park near Witney Penny has worked alongside other new residents to help build community.
 
Contemplative Fire - seeks to provide opportunities for people to enter deeply into the understanding and teaching of Jesus and the Christian mystics. It celebrates the sacrament of the present moment in the beauty of nature, in contemplative liturgy and in teaching. This ministry is led by The Revd Philip Roderick.
 
mayBe - a community based on the edge of Oxford exploring creative, simple, engaged and playful living in the light of Jesus Christ. This ministry is led by The Revd Ian Adams.
 
hOME - aims to be provide a spiritual home for young adults in the Oxford City area who are interessted in the Christian faith but who have no place they can call their spiritual home. This minstry is led by The Revd Matt Rees.
 
i-church - organised through an active website, i-church is a Christian community open to anyone who is willing to make a commitment to explore prayer, to study some aspect of Christianity and to put what they learn into action.
